This Privacy Policy explains what information Fora collects, how we use it, and the choices available to publishers, members, and visitors who use our website and services.

  • usage and analytics information related to embeds, interactions, and product performance.

2. What We Don't Collect

We believe in minimal data collection. Fora does not:

  • use third-party advertising or tracking cookies;
  • sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers;
  • perform cross-site tracking or browser fingerprinting;
  • use your content to train AI models without explicit consent;
  • collect payment card numbers directly (handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor).

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • provide, maintain, secure, and improve Fora;
  • authenticate users and manage accounts;
  • deliver comments, moderation tools, notifications, analytics, and billing features;
  • detect abuse, spam, fraud, and security incidents;
  • communicate product updates, support responses, and service-related notices.

Fora may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, reduce abuse, and measure product usage. Some analytics and infrastructure providers may also use their own cookies or identifiers when their services are enabled.

Content submitted through Fora may be visible to publishers, moderators, and end users depending on how the service is configured. Publishers are responsible for their own moderation practices, disclosures, and lawful use of information collected through their implementations of Fora.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security, backup, and fraud-prevention systems.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights (GDPR and Other Laws)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data;

When you delete your account or request data erasure, we will remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged. We may retain limited data where required by law or to resolve disputes.

11. International Processing

Fora may use infrastructure and service providers that process information in different countries. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than your own.

12. Children's Privacy

Fora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of Fora after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
